Service Description

Mental health is health. It deserves the same attention as anything else I treat. I consult on anxiety, low mood and depression, stress and burnout, sleep difficulties, and the emotional weight that often comes with living with a long-term physical condition. Sessions are one-to-one, by secure video, and unhurried. The first consultation is mostly listening — what's been happening, how long for, and how it's affecting your daily life. From there we build a plan together. That might involve practical strategies for managing symptoms, changes to sleep or routine, medication where it's appropriate, or a combination. Follow-up sessions are available weekly for closer support, or monthly to maintain progress. Speaking from your own home makes a real difference for many people. There's no waiting room, no chance of being recognised, and you're already somewhere you feel settled. I'm a family doctor, not a psychiatrist or psychologist, and part of good care is knowing when someone would be better served by specialist support. If that's the case I'll say so and help you find the right person. If you are in crisis or at immediate risk, please contact emergency services or a crisis line rather than waiting for an appointment.
